Planning a guys' getaway or father's day trip? You are going to LOVE Alabama!
Exploring Alabama's Great Outdoors
There’s something about a change of season that really inspires me to plan new trips and never is this truer than in spring. Maybe it’s the long months of harsh winter that make me think I’ll never make it through to warmer pastures, but when I first see the budding trees and blooming flowers, I’m itching to get outside, explore nature, and have some fun!
This year, I’m trying to get creative and think of new and exciting things I can do for Father’s Day. It’s a great chance to bond with family members – not only your dad, but father-in-law, uncles, grandfathers, and more. It’s also a chance to explore new places and types of travel. Who knows how much fun you can have when you try something new and travel with dad!
I think the southern US is the perfect place for a Father’s Day trip – warm weather, amazing food, fascinating history, and soulful music. What’s not to love?
I have a particular fascination with Alabama. It’s generally more economical than some of its neighbours; it has gorgeous beaches and scenery, and the men-folk will be sure to love all of the great outdoors activities, like golf, camping, hunting, fishing, bird watching, and more.
Even if you and your dad are experienced in outdoor activities, nothing is more important than staying safe and sound. Always follow safety guidelines and local regulations for fishing and boating, communicate with park rangers before trekking into remote areas, and take sensible precautions to ensure health and happiness. I always bring water, juice, plenty of snacks, and a charged cellphone with me, no matter what the trip or activity.
All good travelers know to plan a little in advance, especially when it comes to doing a new activity and travelling with family.
I hope no matter where you go for Father’s Day that you have a safe, smooth, wonderful experience. Happy travels!
I'd love to hear from you - where would you take your dad for a father's day trip?
